The herons usually coexist well with the turtles and geese, but on this day the heron rushed at the geese that were sitting in his favourite shoreline fishing spot. I noticed while behind him, watching him fishing, that the feather pattern coming down his neck and breast, extended to include all of the lower part of his body. I don't think so. I made the video with a combination of video and photos. If there is something specific, you could let me know at what time the video is seen and I could check to see whether it was a cropped video.

Yes, I think they will be at Kal Tire again this year. I don't know if it is a club or just a random gathering.. great to see in either case, and maybe they would be able to give you more information. I just wait till summer to check on it when I see alot of those beauties driving around.

all of the old tractors U had 2 use a hand crank 2 start them then U crank them half of crank at a time until they electric starters on them OMG 1O 21 2O22

I was going to say that maybe they started wearing them recently, but the 99th annual Chilliwack Plowing competition was held in Aggasiz last year and they still are not wearing them then. ??

Yes...it does look awful...the algae is starting to build again. There is avian flu In some poultry farms and I think the Canada geese are susceptible....there have been some deaths sadly. They have sent birds to be examined to find the cause. Very sad.
@@BCBlooms Ah, thanks Linda, for explaining. I've never seen avian flu in action before. Poor birds.

Just came up on my home page. Really nice job presenting the whole process as well as the individual artists Should be chainsaw sculpture??? Any one of these artists would be fascinating to watch from start to finish. I'm inspired and intimidated at the same time.

Well, Thank you! I give full credit to my right pointer finger! The geese are returning but are not obvious like they were. Also, a few very young ducklings were there a few days ago but no adults in sight.

I agree! IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. And there is an interesting story about the mule tail. They used to trim them in the old days in the army...they were trimmed so you could tell how well they had been trained. So if you were called upon in the night, you could go into a corral full of mules in the dark and check out which mules were trained. I think that would be a daunting task!
